For applicants from NLNG host communities, additional criteria include:

  • Proof of Nigerian citizenship and identification as an indigene of one of NLNG’s host communities.
  • A valid letter of identification from both the applicable host community and the Local Government Council.

Benefits of the NLNG Undergraduate Scholarship

Each selected student will receive an annual award of N300,000, which is renewable each academic year based on continued academic performance. This financial assistance aims to ease educational expenses and enable students to focus on their studies.


Required Documents for Application

To complete your application, ensure you have the following documents ready:

  • Application Form: Fully filled out.
  • Passport Photograph: Recent (within 3 months), with a white background, 450px by 450px, and no more than 200kb.
  • Academic Credentials: Copies of O-Level and UTME results.
  • Admission Letters: From both your university and JAMB.
  • University ID Card: Proof of enrollment in the current academic session.
  • Birth Certificate: Issued by the National Population Commission.
  • LGA Letter of Identification: Letter from your Local Government Area.
  • NIN Slip: National ID Number verification slip.

For students from host communities:

  • LGA Letter of Identification: Proof of community residency.
  • Academic Transcripts: Complete transcripts from 100 level to the latest academic year, signed and stamped by the university registry or relevant authority.
  • Community Letter of Identification: Signed by a Community Development Committee (CDC) Chairman or a local leader, such as a paramount ruler.
