Women Entrepreneurs Compete for Recognition in the Global WE Empower UN SDG Challenge to Drive Change and Impact the World in New York

The WE Empower UN SDG Challenge is a unique competition aimed at recognizing and supporting women social entrepreneurs who are making significant strides toward achieving the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

This initiative is designed to honor those women who are inspiring positive change in their communities and shaping a better world for the future.

A Pioneering Global Initiative

Launched in 2018 by some of the world’s most influential leaders, including the UN Secretary-General, the President of the World Bank, and the Council of Women World Leaders, the WE Empower UN SDG Challenge is the first global competition of its kind dedicated to women entrepreneurs.

The challenge offers more than just recognition. Awardees receive valuable capacity-building training, which helps them further grow their ventures.

Additionally, they gain access to a global network, enabling them to connect with influential leaders and experts in various fields.
