A woman is battling for her life after falling from over balcony of a Merseyside nightclub.
According to reports, the woman in her twenties fell from a balcony at the Hey Amigos nightclub in Southport, north of Liverpool.
Sunday, September 4, at around 2:55 a.m., emergency personnel were sent to the location after receiving reports that a woman had been hurt in a fall.
The injured young woman was transported to the hospital in critical condition. This morning, the Merseyside police stated that the woman’s condition remained “critical.”
A witness who was at the nightclub told the Liverpool Echo that they think it was empty at the time of the incident, which occurred about 3 a.m.
According to the eyewitness, the event occurred in the smoking section of the club.
A Merseyside Police spokesperson said: ‘We were called to reports over concern for safety at around 2.55am after a woman fell from a balcony.
‘A woman in her 20s was taken to hospital where she is in a critical condition. Officers remain at the scene and we’re not looking for anyone in connection to the incident.’
