Woman, 102, shares the secret of her healthy life

Few people really live to be 100 years old, which is a beautiful milestone and, in many people’s eyes, a huge blessing.

A 102-year-old woman recently celebrated her birthday and gave a speech about how she has lived her life thus far and how she has managed to maintain good health and happiness throughout her long life.

Staying single, according to Cathy Hillock of Lanarkshire, Scotland, was the key to her long and prosperous life.

Who would have imagined that living alone could be so fulfilling for one person?

Cathy Hillock, who turned 102 earlier this week, said that her prolonged single status and lack of marriage are to blame for her long life.

She claims that, together with her charitable work, this has unquestionably contributed to her continued pleasure and good health.

Hillock claims that while being kind to others and eating a healthy diet have aided her, her romantic situation is the main contributor.

“Everything in proportion, in my opinion, is the key to a long, happy, and healthy existence.

Hillock told The Daily Record, “I eat and drink well, have always done a lot of charitable work, yeah… and perhaps most crucially I stayed single and never got married.

Spending my birthday well

Hilcock took pleasure in a magnificent Roaring ’20s, Great Gatsby-themed party hosted for her by the staff at Beechwood Care Home in Wishaw, where she resides. Hilcock has no kids and no husband.

She was surrounded in the house by her friends and some of her family members, who showered her with gorgeous gifts and snapped a tonne of pictures of her looking joyful, healthy, and at peace.
