NO FIRE DANGER WARNINGS BASED ON IMPACT:
Extremely high fire danger conditions are anticipated to last through Thursday(08/31/2023) over the interior of the Namakwa District Municipality in the Northern Cape, the Central Karoo District Municipality in the Western Cape, the Sarah Baartman District Municipality, Raymond Mhlaba, Inxuba Yethemba, and Enoch Mgijima Local Municipalities in the Eastern Cape.
ADVISORIES:
A. Until Thursday, August 31, 2023, a heatwave with consistently high temperatures is predicted across the Amathole District Municipality, Sunday River Valley, Makana, and Ndlambe Local Municipalities in the Eastern Cape.
B. Driving conditions that are challenging due to significantly reduced visibility due to fog are anticipated over areas of Limpopo’s extreme south and west, the Highveld of Mpumalanga, and the eastern Highveld of Gauteng.

Temperature in Gauteng: Patches of morning fog on the Highveld, generally fine and cool.

Temperature in Limpopo: Cloudy in the northeast with morning drizzle near the escarpment; otherwise, partly cloudy and chilly; nevertheless, warm in the far south-east where morning fog patches are possible, including the central areas.
North West: Pleasant and mild to warm.
Fine and cold to warm in the free state.
Temperature in the Northern Cape: Morning and evening fog near the coast, where it will occasionally be foggy; elsewhere, it will be fine and mild to warm, although hot in some locations in the east, with windy weather over the central areas.
Wind: A light to moderate southerly to south-westerly wind will blow along the shore.
Temperature in the Western Cape: Generally fine and cold to mild, but hot over the eastern interior and eastern sections of the south coast. Morning and evening fog patches around the west and south-west coast where it will be foggy at times, extending to the south coast towards the evening.
Wind: A light to moderate southerly to south-westerly wind will blow along the shore.
The UVB Sunburn Index is forecast to be moderate.
Cape Eastern
Western half: Pleasant and mild, although hot in some southern regions.
The wind along the coast will be light to moderately northerly throughout the day and moderate to strongly south-westerly during the evening.
The Eastern half: Generally fine and warm, but cool north of the escarpment, with spots of heat towards the shore.
The wind will be light to moderately strong in the eastern half, reaching fresh in some locations.
Temperature in KwaZulu-Natal: pleasant and warm.
Wind: A light to moderate north-easterly breeze will blow along the shore.
The UVB Sunburn Index is forecast to be moderate.
