In 2021, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited spent N100 billion on the repair of the country’s refineries, according to the company.

The information was revealed during the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation’s (NNPC) presentation on its financing performance for the year to the Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC).

Though the exact refineries that were restored were not specified, the organization stated that in 2021 it will spend N8.3 billion each month to revamp the refineries.

While the Port Harcourt Refining Company (PHRC), Kaduna Refining Production Company (KRPC) and the Warri Refining Production Company (WRPC) which the NNPC manages has a combined installed capacity of 445,000 barrels of oil per day, Nigeria still imports its refined petroleum products.
