On Thursday, February 17th, the Mrs Universe South Africa pageant took held at the Banyard Theatre Menlyn in Pretoria, Gauteng.
Mrs Universe South Africa, Uyleta Nel-Marais of Bloemfontein, was crowned and will represent Mzansi at the Mrs Universe pageant in South Korea next year.
By presenting married and divorced women to a larger audience, the Mrs Universe South Africa pageant hopes to inspire and empower them.
Uyleta Nel-Marais was crowned Mrs Univerise South Africa on Thursday 17 February. The 31-year-old lawyer will be supported by Heidi Betz, who was crowned first runner-up and Phumzile Ntshabele who was crowned second runner-up.
As per IOL, accepting her crown, Nel-Marais said: “To my fellow sisters, it was amazing sharing this journey with you on and off the stage. I have so much love for all of you and I look forward to share this new phase with all of you.”

MRS UNIVERSE PAGEANT IN SOUTH KOREA
Uyleta Nel-Marais is set to represent South Africa at the Mrs Universe pageant in Seoul, South Korea in 2022.
Mrs Universe South Africa 2021 Melody Zondo will represent Mzansi at this year’s Mrs Univese pageant in June.
Nel-Marais sent Zondo words of encouragement ahead of the Mrs Universe pageant.
