Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has praised the country’s long-range military operations, saying they continue to weaken Russia’s military capabilities and economic resources.

According to Zelenskyy, recent strikes demonstrate Ukraine’s ability to target strategic facilities far from the front lines, increasing the cost of the conflict for Moscow while disrupting key elements of its war infrastructure.

Refinery Strike Targets Russian Revenue Source

Among the latest operations cited by the Ukrainian leader was a strike on the Novokuybyshevsk oil refinery in Russia’s Samara region.

Located roughly 1,000 kilometers from active combat zones, the facility is considered an important part of Russia’s energy sector.

Zelenskyy said the attack would reduce export earnings that help support Russia’s military activities, describing it as another step in efforts to weaken the country’s economic foundation for the war.

Logistics Infrastructure Also Hit

In addition to the refinery strike, Ukrainian forces reportedly targeted a logistics hub within the Samara region.

Zelenskyy said the operation was aimed at disrupting supply chains that support Russian military operations.

Ukrainian officials also reported strikes against targets in the Black Sea area, continuing a broader campaign focused on degrading Russian military infrastructure beyond the battlefield.

Previous Operations Deliver Confirmed Results

The Ukrainian president also pointed to earlier operations that have produced measurable outcomes.

According to Zelenskyy, a strike on the Saky airfield in occupied Crimea resulted in the destruction of a Su-24M military aircraft as well as four pieces of supporting airfield equipment.

The attack was presented as part of Ukraine’s ongoing effort to reduce Russia’s air combat capabilities.

Drone-Control Facilities Destroyed in Bryansk Region

Zelenskyy further stated that Ukrainian forces successfully eliminated drone-control relay stations in Russia’s Bryansk region.

The facilities were allegedly used to coordinate and guide unmanned aerial vehicle attacks against Ukrainian communities.

Ukrainian authorities say disrupting these systems helps protect civilians by reducing Russia’s ability to conduct drone strikes on towns and villages across the country.

President Praises Ukrainian Defense Forces

Concluding his remarks, Zelenskyy expressed gratitude to members of Ukraine’s Defense Forces involved in the operations.

He credited military personnel for carrying out effective strikes against what he described as Russia’s strategic rear areas and emphasized that such actions are intended to increase pressure on the Kremlin while limiting its ability to sustain military operations against Ukraine.
