Trial footage shows the shocking moment a Bronx man plowed his car into a crowd

As the murder trial of the Bronx man behind the wheel continues, shocking new footage of a car crashing into pedestrians in Times Square has emerged.

The Manhattan District Attorney’s office released surveillance video showing a burgundy vehicle doing a quick U-turn on 7th Street.

The automobile then slams into everyone in its path as it rushes over three city blocks.

As the automobile proceeds on its destructive journey, bodies are seen strewn above and below it.

It collides with a curb, launching its two side wheels into the air. Richard Rojas, the driver, then exits the vehicle, leaps up and down, and flails his arms.

Ava Elsman testified during his trial on Monday that she was ‘just trying to lay there [and] not die’ as she bled out.

She was just 13 years old when she and her family visited the tourist attraction on May 18, 2017.

The family had arrived in the city from Portage, Michigan the same morning. Alyssa, her sister, died as a result of her injuries.

Ava, now 18, told jurors, ‘I just looked up and saw the car turn and it was the last thing I saw.’
