“If the opportunity presents itself then I would be honoured and would do my best. We all know that in the SADC region Chiefs are the biggest team.

“Sources have indicated that the player has had dozens of meetings, fines and warnings from the club over the last few weeks and insiders have revealed that both parties are at a stage where they are ready to go their separate ways.

Amazulu are reportedly lining up a move to lure Steve Komphela back to Durban.

Usuthu top brass favour Komphela, a source told the Citizen.

“They have received so many CVs even from outside the country. I am not sure if Steve also sent his CV or if they are head hunting him, but he is a firm favourite with the club’s management,” said the source.
