Sugar rations at HMP Full Sutton have been reduced from eight to three spoons

Sugar rations were halved for inmates at one of Britain’s toughest prisons, and they are unhappy.

The daily allocation was slashed from eight teaspoons to less than three at the maximum security HMP Full Sutton near York, which houses some of the country’s most dangerous criminals.

Previously, prison officials distributed 1 kilogram of sugar per convict per month. However, the authorities determined that inmates should participate in a health campaign, and now 1kg is distributed every three months.

Inmates will be devastated, according to a prison source.

White House Farm murderer Jeremy Bamber and John Cannan, the only suspect in Suzy Lamplugh’s 1986 disappearance, are among the inmates.
