ESwatini’s wanted man will be extradited from South Africa

After being apprehended in the Durban Central Business District last, South Africa is prepared to extradite a fugitive back to ESwatini for prosecution.

Kenny Tfhwala, 33, who is wanted for an armed robbery and the murder of a police officer, was apprehended thanks to coordinated operations between Interpol and the Durban Metro police.
ARRESTED FUGITIVE IN DURBAN CITY CENTRE
Tfhwala made a brief appearance at the Durban Magistrate’s Court, where his case has been continued to next Friday, according to TimesLive.

Tfhwala was in Durban, and Metro police received a thorough description of the suspect. One of the three individuals who was arrested matched the description.
The suspect, who has been on the run since December, is one of ESwatini’s most sought criminals, according to Metro Police spokesperson Gugu Sisilana.

Once the paperwork is completed, the suspect will be deported.

This is the second person to be deported to ESwatini this month who chose South Africa as their hiding place.

Having strangled his girlfriend, the suspect departed his country.

He was hiding out on a farm in Kokstad, according to ESwatini police investigations.
Since October 2020, he has been held in South Africa while awaiting extradition.
