SASSA R350 Grant: What happens when you don’t receive payment?

What does it mean when you have applied, been approved but you have not received your grant?

It is safe to say that this means that your payment is being processed and verified, but will be paid soon.

The South African contacted SASSA’s national spokesperson, Paseka Letsatsi to get more clarity but he did not respond to questions.

NEW REGULATIONS FEARED THEY WOULD LEAVE THE POOR POORER

Social Development Minister, Lindiwe Zulu gazetted the new regulations on 22 April, a day before the application process reopened.

This was after the National State of Disaster, which facilitated the SRD grant, came to an end in April 2022. The Department of Social Development had been working on a regulatory framework for the payment of the grant since President Cyril Ramaphosa announced the extension.

MID-MONTH PAYMENT DATES REMINDER

Here is a reminder of when you can collect your R350 SRD grant at your nearest SA Post Office in May.
