31st of January, 2022 – Sabina Chege, a Murang’a County woman representative, has responded to a viral photo of her crying at former Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s Azimio La Umoja rally at Ihura Stadium in Murang’a county on Saturday.
Sabina, who is one of the Mt Kenya leaders pushing for Raila, appeared to be crying and wiping her face with a handkerchief in the shot.
Sabina was assumed to be crying or in an uncomfortable condition by some Kenyans. During the altercation, some of her security can be seen attempting to clear the way for her.
Other Kenyans claimed that she was crying because the rally was poorly attended despite the money she had spent on mobilisation.
However in a tweet on Monday, Sabina revealed what happened and why many thought she was crying.
