Prince Harry’s African orphan charity received roughly £19,000 in vacation money

Despite having a multimillion-pound income, Prince Harry’s charity for orphaned African children claimed roughly £20,000 in taxpayer money during the outbreak, it was revealed today.

The Duke of Sussex took the unusual step of suing Her Majesty’s Government over the loss of his state-funded bodyguards, but Sentebale, the charity he co-founded in 2006, was more than glad to rely on the British taxpayer.

Over the last two years, Prince Harry’s charity has claimed about £20,000 in public funds.

Sentebale, which means ‘Forget Me Not’ in Sesotho, received £5,000 from the government’s Job Retention scheme last year, on top of £14,000 in 2020, according to newly revealed accounts.

The assertion was made despite the fact that the charity earned £3.1 million in the year ending in August, up £736,000 from the previous year.
