President Tinubu Assures Nigerians of Relief Following Fuel Subsidy Removal

Acknowledging the temporary discomfort caused by this decision, Tinubu emphasized its necessity to rescue the country from impending collapse and liberate its resources from the grip of a select few unpatriotic individuals.

The President acknowledged that the elimination of fuel subsidy would place an additional burden on the Nigerian masses but urged them to endure these sacrifices for the sake of the nation’s survival, assuring them that their sacrifices would not be in vain.

In return for their resilience, Tinubu pledged to reward Nigerians with substantial investments in transportation infrastructure, education, consistent power supply, healthcare, and other public utilities that would enhance their quality of life.

Expressing empathy, Tinubu stated, “I feel your pain.

This is one decision we must bear to save our country from going under and take our resources away from the stranglehold of a few unpatriotic elements.”

He emphasized that during his inauguration speech on May 29, he had implemented the decision to remove the burden of fuel subsidy, thereby freeing up crucial resources that had previously been hoarded by a privileged few.

While acknowledging the hardships the decision would impose on the people, the President assured his compatriots that their sacrifices would yield tangible benefits.
