Police Seize Fentanyl, Methamphetamine and Guns in West Precinct Narcotics Operations

Officers arrested eight people in narcotics operations in the West Precinct on Thursday.

During the operation, police recovered two loaded handguns, 101 grams of fentanyl pills, 60 grams of powder fentanyl, 179 grams of methamphetamine, and small amounts of crack and powder cocaine, along with nearly $4,000 in cash.

Police made arrests at 4th Avenue and Union Street, 2nd Avenue and Union Street, 4th Avenue and Pike Street, 3rd Avenue and Pike Street, and other locations in the West Precinct.

Among those arrested Thursday was a 16-year-old, taken into custody for narcotics and gun possession after police witnessed him selling fentanyl on the street at 3rd and Pike  The teen ran from officers, but police were able to arrest him and recover a handgun and fentanyl pills.

Last month, on July 19th, police arrested the same teen at 3rd and Pike for selling fentanyl, also while in possession of a handgun. In that case, he was booked into jail, and charged by prosecutors.

Seattle police continue to conduct emphasis patrols and narcotics investigations throughout the West Precinct.
