Police arrested a 22-year-old man on Interstate 5 early Monday morning after his girlfriend reported he had trapped her inside his car and was threatening to kill her.
Just after midnight on Monday, police received a report that the victim had messaged a friend and said she was trapped in her boyfriend’s car and he was threatening to kill her.
Police located the suspect’s vehicle in the 1200 block of East Howe and tried to pull him over, but he fled from police and got on I-5. Officers from SPD, King County Sheriff’s Office, and the Washington State Patrol followed the suspect, and troopers were able to place spike strips ahead of the suspect’s vehicle, disabling it on I-5.
Police found the victim in the vehicle, unharmed, and arrested the 22-year-old man for felony harassment and eluding.
