Pinky Gumede Threatens Moja Love with Legal Action Over Unpaid Reality Show Payments in South Africa

Pinky Gumede, the sister of the late Kwaito star Mampintsha (born Mandla Maphumulo), has recently grabbed headlines with a bold statement regarding the upcoming reality show Wena Wodumo.

She has threatened to take Moja Love to court unless she receives the payment she believes she’s owed.

The show, which dives into the life of Mampintsha and his family, is set to air on Moja Love in March.

Pinky is making it clear that she won’t let the show go on without being compensated for her participation.

The Drama Surrounding the New Reality Show

The reality show Wena Wodumo is produced by TV and film personalities Thomas Gumede and Lungile Radu through their production company, Parental Advisory Production.

Set to premiere on March 29 on Moja Love’s channel 157, the show promises an inside look into the life of Mampintsha and his family, capturing their journey following his passing.

However, Pinky Gumede has expressed dissatisfaction with the show’s handling of payments, claiming she hasn’t received the money she’s owed.

Pinky Gumede’s Allegations About Previous Exploitation

Pinky claims that her family was mistreated and underpaid during previous seasons of the show.

According to her, Thomas approached them to shoot uThando Lodumo, but they never received the agreed-upon payment.

“We shot two seasons with them, and we were badly paid. Even then, we were ill-treated, and we had to fight for our money,” she alleged.

She says the same production company reached out to them again for season 3 after Mampintsha’s passing.

Initially, the family declined, but they eventually agreed after being promised fair treatment.

A Promise That Wasn’t Kept

According to Pinky, after some persuasion and promises of better treatment, her family agreed to participate in the third season of the show, with the condition that everything would be handled properly.

“Thomas begged us, he apologised, and even promised to do things right.

He said we must think of Mampintsha’s child.

He told us if we refuse to shoot, we might jeopardise the child’s future,” Pinky explained.

Despite these assurances, she claims they never signed any formal contract and were never given the documents to review.

Shocking Discovery and Unpaid Money

Pinky was reportedly blindsided when she discovered a trailer for Wena Wodumo online, further fueling her anger over the situation.

She now says that in addition to her own payment, she is also seeking the money owed to her mother, which remains unpaid.

“But I will not stop demanding money. I also want my mother’s money; if they fail to pay me, I’ll sue them,” Pinky boldly stated.
