Parent grabs schoolboy rugby player, sparks mass brawl – WATCH

The white man was filmed grabbing a black Kearsney College prop from behind, before players intervened.

A mass brawl ensued as more players joined in and the man, who is understood to be a parent of one of the Northwood High players, was restrained by other parents, players and spectators.

It appears the man first approached the referee – who can be seen walking away from him – in anger at the referee’s on-field decisions which resulted in defeat for his son’s team.

Ban for the embarrassing parent?

Truly disgraceful scenes. Hopefully a ban results for the parent who not only embarrassed himself and his child, but the school as well.
