As The South African previously confirmed, Mandla Ncikazi and Fadlu Davids’ men have a semi-final battle against Libyan giants Al Ahly Tripoli on Sunday 8 May.

We’ve heard enough about how taxing the tips across our vast continent can be. It can’t get any more draining than the journey to Tripoli.

HOW PIRATES COULD TRAVEL THIS WEEK

According to our knowledge, the PSL giants do not have a private jet that can allow for a direct flight to Tripoli.

This means that Bucs are expected to use the available flight that includes two stops in the Middle East as well as Europe before arriving in Tripoli.

  • The first journey should take the team from OR Tambo to Dubai in an 8-hour-5 minutes flight.

  • From Dubai, Orlando Pirates will then catch a connecting flight to Turkey’s Istanbul. The journey will be 4-hours-35 minutes.

It is yet to be confirmed when the club will be departing but the match has been set to kick-off on Sunday at 18:00. The second leg is scheduled for Sunday 15 May in Soweto at the Orlando Stadium.
