Orlando Pirates claimed a priceless victory in their first leg CAF Confederation Cup semi-final against Al Ahly Tripoli in Libya on Sunday.

The Buccaneers won 2-0 to take a handy lead into the second leg next Sunday, 15 May at the Orlando Stadium.

Kick-off is scheduled for 18:00.

 

 

Orlando Pirates scored goals through Innocent Maela (eighth minute) and Goodman Mosele (29th minute).

The Soweto giants didn’t found the back of the net in any of their most recent three DStv Premiership matches, but within half and hour had put the match to bed.The Buccaneers became the first PSL team to win in Libya.

 

Their victory in the North African country was the 18th different African country in which Orlando Pirates have tasted success – more than any other PSL side!

Meanwhile, the second CAF Confederation Cup semi-final first leg tie ended in a 1-0 home win for the DR Congo’s TP Mazembe over RS Berkane of Morocco.
