Unknown gunmen reportedly invaded the Ora Community in the Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State on Saturday, abducting two women and killing one person in the process.
The gunmen reportedly stormed the community around 8.45 pm, shooting indiscriminately to scare people before abducting their victims.
They left with two POS operators and injured the husband of one of them who was trying to rescue her, killing another in the process.
Security men, including soldiers, have been drafted into the community and are combing the surrounding bushes to rescue the victims and apprehend the criminals.

The spokesman for the Kwara State Police Command, SP Okasanmi Ajayi, has confirmed the incident, saying that the command is working with other security agencies to rescue the victims and arrest the abductors.

The Transition Implementation Committee Chairman of Ifelodun LGA, Olajide Asonibare, has appealed for calm and urged residents to cooperate with the security agencies in their efforts to apprehend the criminals and rescue the victims.
