Old-fashioned rice pudding recipe

Rice, along with potatoes, is one of the most widely consumed foods in the world. Did you know it makes a great morning food as well as a sweet treat? You may do either or both with our traditional rice pudding with almonds and banana; it’s all in the details. The porridge-like rice pudding has been made and eaten in almost every culture on Earth.

Old-fashioned rice pudding suggestions

The method you choose will determine how creamy and delicious your rice pudding turns out to be. If milk skin develops in the first hour of simmering, just whisk it into the rice with a fork, sprinkle with nutmeg, and keep cooking over low heat for another hour. For this dish, long-grain rice varieties with a high water absorption rate are recommended. Bananas are delicious on their own, and they get much better when you mix in some cashews, almonds, or walnuts for a sweet treat. Spice things up with some cinnamon, and throw in some berries for good measure.

In life, you will have opportunities to create things you never thought you would like. This recipe is for the classic rice pudding made with almonds.
