Oil magnate Tein Jack-Rich, currently serving as the president of BelemaOil Producing Limited, has strongly denied allegations of infidelity made against his wife Elizabeth by a former aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, Jackson Ude.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, Jack-Rich expressed his shock at Ude’s claims, labeling them as provocative, malicious, preposterous, unwarranted, distasteful, and unsubstantiated.
Denial of Allegations and Political Motives:
In the statement, Jack-Rich categorically dismissed the allegations made against his wife and criticized them as politically motivated.
He described the claims as attempts by politically sponsored agents to tarnish his name and reputation, adding that they were aimed at gaining cheap political relevance in the evolving political landscape.
He further stated that the allegations were baseless, childish, and reflective of the character of those behind them, who are known for their political opportunism and desperation for relevance.
Refutation of Bribery Allegations:
Additionally, the statement refuted allegations that Jack-Rich had engaged in bribery or planned to bribe anyone for a ministerial appointment.
He dismissed these claims as mere fabrications originating from individuals who perceive him as a significant obstacle to their own political ambitions and survival, as they have lost their own political footing.
He emphasized that there was no need for him to resort to bribery, highlighting his recent role as the Vice-Chairman of the Finance Committee for the Presidential Campaign of his party, which they ultimately won.
