A Norwegian tech entrepreneur, Rinson Jose, has gone missing on the very day a series of bombings took place in Lebanon.
The 39-year-old, originally from India, was reportedly involved in a complex deal that led to Israel acquiring the pagers used in the attacks.
Jose disappeared on the day of the blasts and hasn’t been heard from since.
The Deal Behind the Pagers
Jose was the owner of a Bulgarian shell company that allegedly paid £1.3 million to Cristiana Arcidiacono-Barsony, a British-educated intermediary.
This transaction was part of a Mossad-orchestrated plan to secure the pagers.
Jose had moved to Oslo in 2015 after working in London for a couple of years.
He was said to be on a pre-planned business trip when he vanished.
Search for Jose
NHST, the Norwegian media group where Jose worked, has been unable to contact him since he left.
The company informed Norway’s domestic intelligence service late Wednesday after discovering his connection to the attacks.
Oslo Police District has started preliminary investigations into his disappearance, though they have not commented further at this time.
Unsettling Discoveries
Jose’s apartment in Mortensrud, a posh suburb of Oslo, has remained untouched with drawn blinds and overgrown grass.
Neighbors reported they haven’t seen him for months.
A friend described Jose as a kind-hearted individual, noting that he had saved his hair for years to donate it to cancer patients.
No Direct Involvement Suggested
There’s no indication that Jose was aware of the secretive nature of the pager deal or that he knew the pagers were to be used for explosives.
The shell company, Norta Global LTD, was registered at a building in Budapest housing numerous other businesses.
Its now-deleted website promised agile tech solutions and business development services.
Professional Background
Jose’s profile on Founders Nation, a platform connecting entrepreneurs with Israeli start-ups, portrayed him as a business developer seeking collaboration opportunities.
His past work includes a role as a business development manager at Levetron Ltd in London from 2013 to 2015.
Afterward, he founded NortaLink, a company specializing in consulting, outsourcing, and technology services.
Ongoing Efforts to Locate Jose
Attempts to reach Jose via phone and email have been unsuccessful.
The search for him continues as authorities investigate the circumstances surrounding his disappearance and the involvement in the attack.
