UFC legend Nate Diaz is not holding back when it comes to Logan and Jake Paul.
Following their awkward encounter with Conor McGregor at Donald Trump’s inauguration this week, Diaz has weighed in with strong words for the Paul brothers.
McGregor’s Boxing Plans Stir the Pot
The saga started last December when Conor McGregor set social media on fire by hinting at his return to the ring.
McGregor announced that he was in early talks with the Ambrani family to face Logan Paul in a boxing exhibition in India, saying, “I am in preliminary agreements.”
However, UFC president Dana White quickly shut down any speculation about McGregor’s first fight since his loss to Dustin Poirier in 2021 involving the Paul brothers.
The McGregor-Pauls Confrontation
Recently, McGregor had the opportunity to face off with both Logan and Jake Paul, and he wasted no time throwing shade at them.
Referring to them as “side pieces,” McGregor didn’t mince words.
Nate Diaz, never one to shy away from a fight, jumped into the conversation after watching the clip of the confrontation online.
Nate Diaz Calls Out the Paul Brothers
Diaz took to social media, criticizing the Paul brothers for talking a big game but not backing it up when they had the chance.
In a fiery post on X, Diaz told the Pauls they should’ve stepped up when they had the chance: “You all been talkin’ hella s***, you should’ve beat his a**,” Diaz said.
“He would’ve f***** you both up easy, but you should’ve at least gave it a try after talking all that s***, you lady’s all.”
He finished with the hashtag #paulsisters vs. #realfighter, a clear jab at the Paul brothers’ reputation for brash talk without real fight action.
McGregor’s Comeback and Legal Troubles
McGregor’s long-anticipated comeback continues to captivate fans, even though he had to pull out of a scheduled fight with Michael Chandler last year due to an injury.
The 36-year-old Irish fighter is still contracted to the UFC, but his personal and legal battles, particularly involving the 2018 incident with Nikita Hand, have severely impacted his public image in Ireland.
Hand was awarded more than €248,000 after a jury concluded McGregor had assaulted him.
However, McGregor’s popularity remains strong in the United States, and a successful comeback could be a massive boost for UFC’s profile globally.
