The N3 toll route at Lions River between Howick and Nottingham Road, in KwaZulu-Natal, will be temporarily closed twice a day from Monday morning until Wednesday for Eskom’s maintenance of the overhead cables.

Motorists have been advised to plan for traffic congestion and delays.

Operations Manager of the N3 Toll Concession, Thania Dooghra says the road closures will start at 10h00.

“The N3 Toll Route will be temporarily closed twice each day, for approximately two hour periods, starting at 10h00 in the morning and again at 14h00 in the afternoon. These closures are required by Eskom to perform essential work on their overhead cables. Law enforcement officials will be implementing the following traffic accommodation measures: Trucks will be stacked on the N3 for the duration of each closure, while light motor vehicles will be diverted via an alternate route.”
