Martin Van Riel wins Ironman Dubai Triathlon

DUBAI, 5th March, 2022 – Belgian Martin Van Riel won the seventh edition of the Ironman Dubai Triathlon, beating 2,600 male and female athletes from 100 countries, from different continents of the world, who participated in the tournament that was held today, with the support of the Dubai Sports Council.

Van Riel completed the 113-kilometre race in a time of 3:26:06 hours, and included three competitions: swimming, cycling and running, while the German Laura Phelps, ranked No.

3 in the world, managed to win the women’s title in a time of 03:53:03 hours, surpassing Swiss champion Daniela Reeve, ranked second in the world, finished second.
