Mansoor bin Mohammed honours winners of Hatta-Expo Race

DUBAI, 9th January, 2022 – His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Sports Council, today crowned the winners of the Hatta-Expo race, part of the sixth edition of the Al Salam Cycling Championship held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed honoured the winners today (Sunday) at the Jubilee Theatre located within the Expo 2020 Dubai venue.

The race covered a distance of 150 km starting from Hatta and ending in Expo 2020 Dubai.

Prizemoney worth a total of AED1 million was distributed among those who won the top 20 places in the race.

Haussler Heinrich Friedrich of Shabab Al-Ahli Cycling Team won the first place, followed by Alexandr Pliuschin of Abu Dhabi Cycling Club in second place, and Jaber Al Mansoori of Whoosh Team in third place.

In the team competition, Shabab Al-Ahly Club won the first place, the Abu Dhabi Cycling Team ranked second, and Whoosh third.

The elite race for men attracted the participation of 229 riders from 37 nationalities, representing 21 teams.

The award ceremony was attended by Omair bin Jumaa Al Falasi, Chairman of the Higher Organising Committee of the Al Salam Cycling Championship, His Excellency Saeed Hareb, Secretary General of the Dubai Sports Council, and a number of senior officials and representatives of sponsors and the media.
