On Sunday morning, a story was reportedly shared on Robson’s Instagram account showing the bruises on her body with a caption stating: “To everyone who wants to know what Mason Greenwood actually does to me”.
The series of disturbing images clearly indicate a physical attack, while Robson also allegedly posted an audio clip seemingly implicating Greenwood in abusive and threatening behaviour.
However, Robson’s Instagram account showed no posts later on Sunday, before being populated with just a few images.
Man United have released a statement confirming Greenwood’s suspension
The club released a statement on Sunday which read: “Mason Greenwood will not return to training or play matches until further notice.”
Greenwood, a United academy graduate, made his debut in 2019 and has since clocked up 129 appearances for the club, scoring 35 goals.
Man United had first released a statement earlier on Sunday to say: “We are aware of images and allegations circulating on social media. We will not make any further comment until the facts have been established. Manchester United does not condone violence of any kind.”
Reports on Twitter claim that the Greater Manchester Police have been informed, but this has not yet been confirmed.
The couple have reportedly been dating since attending Mersey School in Greater Manchester together apart from a brief split in 2020.
