Man charged after woman was allegedly struck with glass bottle in Hebersham

A woman has been rushed to hospital after she was allegedly struck with a broken glass bottle during a violent domestic dispute in Sydney’s west.

Police were called Carlisle Avenue in Hebersham on Tuesday afternoon following reports of a domestic violence-related assault.

A woman, 34 was found at the scene suffering multiple injuries to her throat and neck after she had been allegedly struck with broken bottle.

Police rendered first aid until paramedics arrived.

The woman was later transported to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition.

A 38-year-old man was arrested at the scene.

He was charged with causing wounding/grievous bodily harm to person with intent to murder, resist or hinder police officer and breach of bail.

He was refused bail to appear in Mount Druitt Local Court on Wednesday.
