Promotions of Assistant Commissioners of Police
The promotion of twenty-four Assistant Commissioners of Police to the position of Deputy Commissioners was also approved.
ACP Wan Mantu Chongs, Baba Lawan Audu, Mohammed Shamsudeen, ACP Khan Salihu Usman, ACP Ezekiel Ibrahim, and others were among the officers promoted.
Promotions of Chief Superintendents of Police
The Commission also approved the promotion of 39 Chief Superintendents of Police to Assistant Commissioners of Police.
Among them were Joseph Udoh, Nze Helen Omeba, Uduaku Isaac Udom, and several others.
Temporary Promotion and Interactive Session
CSP Akande Bamidele received temporary promotion to Assistant Commissioner of Police.
Additionally, the promoted Assistant Inspectors General (AIGs), Commissioners of Police (CPs), and Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs) were required to attend an interactive session with the Commission to officially assume their new ranks.
Adoption of Instrument of Delegation
During the Plenary Meeting, the Commission adopted a new Instrument of Delegation regarding powers granted to the Inspector General of Police.
Commitment to Regular Promotions
Dr. Solomon Arase, Chairman of the Commission, expressed gratitude to the newly promoted officers and urged them to redouble their commitment to serving the country.
He pledged to ensure regular police promotions to prevent stagnation within the force.
Commendation and Hope for the Future
Dr. Arase commended the dedication and efforts of the committee members involved in the promotions.
He emphasized that a brighter future lies ahead for the Nigeria Police Force as a result of these advancements.
