Serial killer implicates four in Makgato’s murder

They are charged for allegedly killing Ronnie Makgato for ritual purposes. The four individuals were arrested last month. Their arrests follow the so-called Polokwane serial killer Themba Dube implicating them in Makgato’s murder.

Dube was arrested in 2021 for allegedly killing seven women in Polokwane. While Dube implicated the four, Makgato’s remains are still unaccounted for. Marcus Makgato of Makgato Lodge, Joshua Hlako of Hlako Mohafe Tour Bus services, Khumbelo Mabirimisa of Mabirimisa Bus Services and Amanda Makgato are being charged with murder and conspiracy to commit murder.

Makgato was reported missing in Pretoria

It’s been alleged that the three businessmen and their co-accused killed Ronnie Makgato for ritual purposes in 2006. Ronnie was reported missing in Soshanguve, Gauteng. Former National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) head Mokotedi Mpshe is representing the four accused.

Mpshe, according to SABC News, previously told the court that remanding the four accused in custody would be stamping on their Constitutional rights.
