Kwara community honours ex-NAWOJ President with chieftaincy title

All is set for the installation of the former President of National Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Chief (Mrs) Moji Makanjuola, as Yeyemeto of Oro-Ago kingdom in Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State, North Central Nigeria.

The conferment ceremony holds on Saturday May 7, 2022 in the ancient community.

In a statement signed by Mrs Makanjuola and made available to Journalists in Ilorin, thanked the traditional council of Oro-Ago kingdom for finding her worthy of the chieftaincy title.

The former NAWOJ President promised to, in reciprocation of the honour, drill a motorized borehole to address water needs of the people of the rural community.

Mrs Makanjuola, a veteran woman journalist, added that her plan was to endow the community with educational gifts such as computer sets and other items required for learning in the community schools.

Popular with her health show on Nigeria Television Authority (NTA), the ex-NAWOJ President retired in flying colours as one of the top officials of the media outfit a few years ago.
