A Brooklyn man who went on the run after shooting and killing his two neighbors over a noise complaint was killed by police after he lunged at them with a knife.
The man, identified as Jason Pass, had been on the run since Sunday, when he shot and killed Bladimy Mathurin and his stepson Chinwai Mode in the hallway of their apartment building.
Pass was spotted driving in Brooklyn on Wednesday morning and was stopped by police. When officers approached his vehicle, Pass lunged at them with a knife.
The officers shot Pass multiple times, and he was taken to the hospital in critical condition, where he later died.
The shooting is the tragic end to a senseless crime. The community is shocked by the senseless violence, and many are calling for justice for the victims.
