Kathy Griffin Unleashes Scathing Valentine’s Day Message Amid Divorce Announcement

On Valentine’s Day, comedian Kathy Griffin made her feelings clear about the romantic holiday, taking to her X account to express her disdain.

The 63-year-old entertainer, known for her candid remarks, wrote, ‘I’m getting divorced. F*** Valentine’s Day and f**k all of you.

Did I say that?’ She further emphasized that despite her personal struggles, she intends to make every member of her audience her personal Valentine during her upcoming shows.

Divorce Announcement and Prenuptial Agreement

Kathy Griffin filed for divorce from her husband, Randy Bick, 45, in December, culminating almost four years of marriage.

The divorce proceedings were initiated in Los Angeles County, with the date of separation documented as December 22.

Citing irreconcilable differences, Griffin referred to the prenuptial agreement signed on December 23, 2019.

She has requested the court to enforce the prenup and eliminate the possibility of granting alimony to either party.

Twitter Statement on Divorce

As news of the divorce circulated online, Kathy Griffin issued a statement on X, formerly Twitter, stating, ‘Well…sh*t. This sucks.’

The comedian and Bick had a significant history, dating for seven years from 2011.

Despite a brief breakup in 2018, they rekindled their relationship and were married on New Year’s Day in 2020.

Turmoil Surrounding Griffin’s Career and Personal Life

During their initial seven-year period as a couple, Kathy Griffin faced a career crisis in 2017 following a controversial image featuring her holding a severed-head dummy of then-President Donald Trump.

The scandal impacted Bick’s personal life as well, given that his family supported the president. The fallout led to a temporary break in their relationship.

Relationship Resilience and Marriage

After the initial split in 2018, Kathy Griffin and Randy Bick reconciled in 2019 and proceeded to marry on New Year’s Day 2020. Griffin, known for her unconventional choices, opted for toy rings instead of traditional wedding bands.

Their relationship weathered another storm when Griffin’s mother, Maggie, passed away at 99 just two months after their wedding.

Age Gap and Public Scrutiny

Throughout their relationship, Kathy Griffin and Randy Bick faced occasional public scrutiny due to their significant age difference, with Bick being nearly two decades younger.

Despite initial skepticism from Griffin, who humorously labeled Bick a ‘man-wh**e,’ they fought to make their relationship work.

As Kathy Griffin navigates the challenges of divorce and Valentine’s Day, her unfiltered expressions continue to captivate and spark conversations on social media.
