In other news, Kaizer Chiefs’ marketing director Jessica Motaung has shared insights into Itumeleng Khune’s future at the club.
The legendary goalkeeper, who has been a one-club player for Chiefs since his promotion to the first team in 2004, has won 12 trophies with the team.
However, it seems he may be transitioning away from his playing role.
Despite Khune’s insistence that he has more years left in him, the club appears to be considering a new path for the 37-year-old.
Motaung revealed that they are exploring potential roles for Khune within the club and looking into ambassadorial positions similar to those offered to retired players in the UK.

“We value Khune immensely and are exploring the best way to keep him involved with the Kaizer Chiefs family,” Motaung told Radio 2000, as reported by IDiski Times.
“We’re in discussions about a potential role for him and are excited about the possibilities.
We’re working on finalizing proposals and are eager to find a way to continue his association with the club in a meaningful way.”
