Kaizer Chiefs’ remaining DStv Premiership matches: ONE clash may decide the title!

Kaizer Chiefs were given a massive boost in their hopes of landing a first PSL title since the 2014/15 season on Friday.

Amakhosi won their case against SAFA regarding the two matches they failed to show up for last December due to an outbreak of Covid-19 at Naturena.

So, instead of forfeiting those clashes against Cape Town City FC and Golden Arrows, they will now be rescheduled, giving Kaizer Chiefs the chance of picking up six more log points rather than walking away empty-handed.

The dates for those matches have yet to be confirmed

As they log now stands, Kaizer Chiefs are in third place and trail log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns by 16 points.

However, they do have FOUR matches in hand – and no distractions like the Nedbank Cup of CAF Champions League that Masandawana are still very much involved in.

Should Kaizer Chiefs win those four outstanding matches, they will be just four points adrift.

A look at Kaizer Chiefs’ remaining 11 matches shows they have an ‘easy’ run-in to the of the season – apart from ONE blockbuster clash.

Amakhosi will be at home for 7 of their final 11 matches, including a clash against Mamelodi Sundowns on Sunday, 8 May.

That match at FNB Stadium could go a long way in deciding the destiny of the 2021/22 DStv Premiership title.
