Kaizer Chiefs: Khama Billiat on the brink of personal history

According to a social media post that sourced the much-respected JabuOpta, Billiat is now six goals away from entering the top five greatest scorers chart in PSL history.

We are talking about names such as Siyabonga Nomvethe, Daniel Mudua, and Collins Mbesuma.

Billiat currently has 97 goals in all Premier Soccer League competitions, with only five former players registered with over 100 goals.

“97 – This was Billiat’s 97th goal as a PSL player (all comps). He now sits 6th on the list of top PSL goal scorers. Only 5 players have 100+,” said SuperSport‘s Mpho Letsholonyane.

Meanwhile, Billiat has four more games to mark the accolade before the end of this season, starting against Cape Town City this weekend in Johannesburg.

Amakhosi are still to face the new DStv Premiership champions Mamelodi Sundowns next month, and protocol dictates that the opposition need to deliver a guard of honour.

According to Sundowns’ co-coach Rhulani Mokwena, the gesture is not obligatory.
