Kaizer Chiefs star Khama Billiat has insisted that the club’s woeful form is not as a result of fans returning to the stadium.

It’s no secret that the Amakhosi have the largest fan base in the country however, since the PSL have allowed for fans to return to stadiums, Chiefs are YET to win!

Khama Billiat has since rushed to dismiss the notion that Kaizer Chiefs’ losing streak is as a result of the added pressure fans in attendance are bringing!

Kaizer Chiefs fans are important to us – Billiat

“Our supporters don’t scare us, our supporters support us to do better.” the Kaizer Chiefs star told the club’s media department.

“So we must not be scared of playing in front of them. We missed them. It’s something we need to CONSIDER.

“If there is something we need to work on mentally to be around our supporters, knowing very well that they are coming to support us, coming to enjoy good moments and coming to see us grind out the results.

“They’ve very important to have back in the stadium. We really appreciate them coming back, they always give Kaizer Chiefs that extra boost,”

The Glamour Boys suffered a fourth consecutive loss on Saturday afternoon but more importantly lost further ground in the race for second position in the DStv Premiership.

Kaizer Chiefs went down 2-1 against Cape Town City FC at the FNB stadium. The visitors took an early need in the 13th minute through Craig Martin after capitalized on a Daniel Cardoso blunder.

Terrence Mashego than doubled Cape Town City’s lead shortly after the halftime break, when he beat Brandon Petersen from a tight angle!

Dumisani Zuma than pulled one back for Kaizer Chiefs however all it proved to be was a late consolation strike in the 81st minute after pouncing first on a rebound in the City box.
