The family of Jermaine Craig released a statement expressing their sorrow over his untimely passing. According to the statement, Jermaine collapsed during a workout session at the gym on Monday morning.

Despite being swiftly transported to a hospital in Sandton, all attempts to revive him proved unsuccessful.

Jermaine Craig played a significant role in the sports and media landscape of South Africa.

His involvement in the 2010 World Cup, where he served as the communications and media manager for the Local Organising Committee, showcased his dedication to the country’s major sporting events.

Following his time at South African Tourism, Craig returned to Cape Town in 2013, rejoining the Independent Media Group as the Cape Argus editor.
