An indictment returned on July 20 and unsealed on August 12 alleged that Nick was lying in wait before the fatal attacks and used a knife to kill his parents.
The indictment did not provide further details about what prosecutors allege happened immediately before the killings.
Nick has pleaded not guilty and remains presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
