NEW DELHI, 2nd January, 2022 – India recorded 27,553 new COVID-19 cases over the past 24 hours, taking the total number of infections to 34.

According to the Indian health ministry, the death toll climbed to 481,770 after the South Asian country logged 284 new fatalities.
