India records 16,764 new COVID-19 cases, 220 deaths

NEW DELHI, 31st December, 2021 – India recorded 16,764 new COVID-19 cases, over the past 24 hours, taking the total number of infections to 3,48,38,804.

According to the Indian health ministry, the death toll climbed to 4,81,080 after the South Asian country logged 220 new fatalities.
