TS Galaxy head coach Sead Ramovic recently opened up about the club’s promising attacking midfielder, Puso Dithejane, shedding light on his journey and current performance.

Puso Dithejane, at just 20 years old, joined TS Galaxy midway through the 2023/24 season, transferring from Kaizer Chiefs, one of Soweto’s top teams.

His departure from Chiefs was a result of disciplinary issues; he was released after failing to perform ball-retrieval duties during a senior team match while participating in the DStv Diski Challenge.

Despite this rocky start, Dithejane quickly made a significant impact at Galaxy.

He played a crucial role in helping the team secure a sixth-place finish in the league standings last season.

Over his 16 appearances for Galaxy, he managed to score once and provide an assist, showcasing his potential and skill on the field.

During his time at Galaxy, Dithejane developed a strong attacking partnership with teammates Sphiwe Mahlangu, Samir Nurkovic, and Lehlohonolo Mojela, although Mojela has since moved to Stellenbosch FC.

Galaxy also came close to winning the inaugural 2023 Carling Knockout Cup, narrowly losing to Stellenbosch FC in a dramatic penalty shootout.

Looking ahead, Ramovic acknowledged that Dithejane’s impressive performance means the club might face the challenge of losing him to bigger opportunities.

Ramovic commented, “It’s not ideal to lose players every year, but it’s rewarding to see young talents like Puso get their chance. We have other promising players too, and while it takes time for them to adapt, it’s clear that Puso and others like [Thato] Khiba have shown exceptional versatility.”

Ramovic, who has been familiar with Dithejane since October last year, expressed his high regard for the midfielder, noting, “Puso is an extraordinary talent with remarkable skills.

He maintains a great lifestyle and is heading in the right direction, especially considering he just turned 20. In my coaching career, he’s one of the best players I’ve seen at his age. We’re thrilled to have him, but if he keeps performing as he is, it wouldn’t be surprising if he moves on to bigger things.”
