‘He never learns’: SA reacts as Somizi hosts alleged fiancé’s birthday

South African media personality Somizi Mhlongo has evidently found love after his failed marriage to his young soon-to-be ex-husband Mohale Motaung. The Idols SA judge revealed that he was engaged and soon social media investigators found that his fiancé appears to be 26-year-old actor Pholoso Mohlala.

While Somizi hasn’t confirmed or denied the rumours, he hosted Pholoso’s birthday celebrations which took place on Thursday night this week at a Pretoria nightclub.

Somizi hosts rumoured fiance’s birthday

It went down at Just Cuban in Pretoria as bubbly media personality Somizi hosted his alleged fiancé’s birthday celebrations.

Posters of the event have gone viral on social media and have sparked further speculations about whether or not Isidingo actor Pholoso is indeed the mystery man behind Somizi’s huge diamond-encrusted engagement ring.

Entertainment blogger Musa Khawula shared the poster with the caption:

“Somizi Mhlongo (49) is hosting his new fiancé’s birthday celebration. Pholoso Mohlala is celebrating his 26th birthday.”

Mzansi has a lot to say:

The fact that 49-year-old Somizi was hosting the birthday party for his rumoured future husband who just turned 26 did not sit well with many of his fans who say that he hasn’t learned his lesson about dating men who are that much younger than him.

Many of them criticised him online while others wondered whether Pholoso would turn out to be another Mohale. Here are some of their comments:
