The Israeli military has confirmed the death of Hamas commander Mohammed Deif in an airstrike earlier this month.
This announcement comes just a day after the group’s leader, Ismail Haniyeh, was also reported killed in Tehran.
According to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), their fighter jets targeted Khan Yunis, where Deif was located. Following an intelligence assessment, the IDF confirmed that Deif was eliminated in the strike.
Deif, who was known for his role in orchestrating the bloody incursion into Israel on October 7, was reported killed on July 13. The attack also resulted in the deaths of more than 90 people, including displaced civilians.
