Unidentified Couple Brutally Murdered in Anambra State, Bodies Dumped in Car Boot

In a shocking incident, presumed to be an act of targeted violence, a man and a woman, believed to be a married couple, were shot by unidentified assailants in Anambra State.

The assailants callously left the lifeless bodies in the boot of their dark-colored Toyota Camry, bearing the license plate EE-621-EU.

Grim Discovery Near Tempo Junction on Enugu-Onitsha Expressway

On Wednesday morning, passersby near the Tempo Junction, Umunya, along the Enugu-Onitsha Expressway, stumbled upon the gruesome scene of two freshly slain individuals.

The dark-colored Toyota Corolla, believed to belong to the victims, became a focal point as onlookers surrounded and scrutinized the vehicle, capturing the incident in a video that has since gone viral on social media.

Visual Evidence Shows Fresh Blood and Signs of Recent Violence

The video footage revealed the disturbing sight of the two lifeless bodies placed inside the car’s boot, with blood visibly flowing underneath.

The grisly scene strongly indicated that the victims might have been killed shortly before the discovery.

Confirmation from Anambra State Police Command

The Police Public Relations Officer of the Anambra State Police Command, DSP Ikenga Tochukwu, confirmed the incident.

According to Ikenga, police officers from the Oyi Division promptly responded, recovering the bodies and the abandoned vehicle.

The deceased were identified as a man and a woman, both displaying signs of violence and gunshot injuries.

Police Initiates Investigation into Double Homicide

Ikenga Tochukwu disclosed that the bodies were transported to a mortuary, and an immediate investigation into the circumstances leading to their deaths had been initiated.

The police spokesperson shared preliminary information, stating that the victims were found in a black Corolla with a Lagos license plate (AAA 621 EU) and had suffered violence and gunshot injuries.

In an official statement, Ikenga Tochukwu provided more details: “Preliminary information revealed that those persons, a man, and woman, with marks of violence and gunshot injuries all over their bodies, were murdered and abandoned in a black Corolla car with reg plate number Lagos AAA 621 EU.
