…By Lola Smith for TDPel Media. The Lagos State Government has brought charges against Ehi Ogbebor, the former lover of Lagos transport union leader Musiliu Akinsanya, also known as MC Oluomo.
Ogbebor is being accused of failing to file tax returns.
12-Count Charge Filed Against Ehi Ogbebor
On June 5, the state initiated a 12-count charge against Ogbebor before Justice Yetunde Adesanya of the Lagos State High Court.
The charges allege that she has not paid personal income tax to the Internal Revenue Service as required by law since 2014 up until the present.
Motion for Substituted Service
During the court proceedings, the prosecutor, Ade Alli, informed Justice Adesanya on Monday that the case pertained to tax matters, and he presented a motion for substituted service.
Alli requested permission from the court to serve the notice on Ogbebor through substituted means.
Substituted Service Granted by the Court
Ade Alli requested that the notice be posted on the last known address of the defendant at Plot 59, Fola Osibo Street, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos.
Justice Adesanya granted the prayer and instructed that the substituted service should be carried out accordingly.
Trial Adjourned to October 26, 2023
The judge adjourned the case to October 26, 2023, for trial, allowing sufficient time for the legal proceedings to unfold.

Ehi Ogbebor, the former partner of MC Oluomo, faces charges for failure to file tax returns in Lagos State.
